The Next Generation Science Exemplar System for Professional Development (NGSX) is a web-based PD environment designed to engage teachers in working with the practices, crosscutting concepts, and disciplinary core ideas in the National Research Council's Framework for K-12 Science Education and the Next Generation Science Standards. Throughout this workshop, participants will learn about and develop models, engage in evidence-based argumentation and explanation, and explore classroom video cases --- all designed to help teachers help their students build their understanding and explanations of natural phenomena.   To learn more about NGSX visit the NGSX site or email Jessica Ashley or Mike Gallagher.
