The Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) is a state-funded pre-kindergarten program for eligible children. The Michigan Department of Education (MDE) annually grants funding to each Intermediate School District (ISD), including Oakland Schools. Oakland Schools annually assesses the need for GSRP within its service area and allocates MDE awarded slots to public school districts, charter schools, and licensed child care centers that meet GSRP requirements. In 2015 Oakland Schools will support 46 local programs in serving over 3,000 children. Current web-based support can be found via the pages to the left.
