Similar to the Document Review, the Michigan Department of Education (MDE) will audit Oakland Schools and its sub-recipients once every three years for both program and financial records. Oakland Schools audits will occur in fiscal year 2016 for the first time. It is projected the audit will occur on a three-year cycle from that time forward.
